UBA is specialized in the transport and distribution of chemicals. Founded in 1956 by Uffe – Blok Anderson, he discovered a niche in the chemical distribution system and his many years in the business gave him an insight into customer needs. Until UBA came along, customers had two choices: Accept delivery of chemicals in bulk, which required a substantial investment in storage systems, or; receive delivery of product in drums, kegs and other small packages. These were cumbersome and repeated handling increased the risk of an accident. Substantial storage space was also required.
UBA`s solution: Install tanks scaled to customer needs directly on their premises. Container handling is eliminated because the tank is connected to the customer`s process line. Deliveries are made by trained and uniformed company employees with equipment that is maintained according to applicable regulations.
UBA is a founding member of the Responsible Distribution Canada (RDC) , which was formed in 1988. Its ISO-based “Responsible Distribution” program ensures member companies adhere to a strict and independently-audited code of practice. Our facilities in Mississauga and Vaudreuil are certified RD-21, the most current edition of the program.
